Three Movies Over the Holiday (and one of them is called The Holiday!!)

1. Stranger than Fiction - Totally original premise, great performances (especially by Dustin Hoffman and Maggie Gyllenhaal) although I found the chemistry between Maggie Gyllenhaal and Will Ferrell almost non-existent, which made the romance element of the story a tad awkward. 7.5/10

2. The Holiday - Two hours of pure sugar, complete with beautiful people, gorgeous homes, insanely cute children, lots of soft lighting and soft focus lenses with a sweet and wonderful old person thrown in for good christmas-y measure. Obviously, I loved it. Try and not be in love with everyone in the movie by the perfectly wrapped ending. 8.5/10

3. Casino Royale - I haven't seen a Bond movie in a long time, like Timothy Dalton long time. Daniel Craig is a great choice for the new, hipper, rougher James Bond. He's just.. cool. Everything else is pretty cool too. The only thing I don't like is the new Bond song, sung during the opening titles by Chris Cornell. It's bad. 8/10

Sorry.

Portland. Kinda looks like Vancouver.

I haven't had much time for blogging these days, and I won't have time until after the new year. It will be exciting when I return to my blog because I will be blogging from a new city (Portland) and will be having American adventures. Please stay tuned. And a have a fun new year's event, whatever that may be.
