Beowulf is AWESOME.

I have to admit that I had a preconceived notion about 3D. My experience with 3D started when I was a wee kid, seeing Michael Jackson as Captain EO at Disney..even then I was underwhelmed. I had seen a couple 3D Imax documentaries about sharks and such but the effect just gave me a headache. Naturally I was skeptical about Beowulf. After seeing it the other night not only has my skepticism disappeared but I feel that I am witnessing the dawning of a new era in cinema. (I have thought that before...like when I saw the Matrix and the LOTR trilogy)
This is just the beginning for the 3D revolution. I felt BLOWN AWAY by Beowulf 3D...it truly is spectacular looking and completely immerses you. The incredible 3D is combined with the classic Beowulf story done well, beautiful CG work (the Grendel character is the most gorgeously disgusting thing I've had the pleasure of seeing in ages)and awesome action sequences. Beowulf himself is a fantastic character, Ray Winstone is perfect...I know he's animated but Beowulf is way hotter than King Leonidas ("This is SPARRTTTAAAAA"), plus he fights in the nude..can't get more bad ass than that, really.

See this but see it in 3D, it's important!
